The Pelican Rapids Vikings basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Perham Yellowjackets to 62 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.
The Vikings now sport a 21-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ada-Borup/Norman County West for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 24. Pelican Rapids will meet a Cougars team coming off a 66-53 non-league loss to Fertile-Beltrami (Fertile, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 19-4.
The Yellowjackets (8-16) will now prepare for their contest against Thief River Falls (Thief River Falls, MN). The Prowlers enter the AA Section 8 contest with a 12-16 record. In their last contest, Thief River Falls was outscored by Park Rapids (Park Rapids, MN), 69-62, in a league contest.
