Stanford/Geyser/Denton Bearcats (Stanford, MT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Belt Huskies (Belt, MT), 54-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Stanford/Geyser/Denton upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Roy/Winifred (Winifred, MT) to clash with the Outlaws in a C District 8 bout on Saturday, February 24. The Outlaws go into the bout with a record of 18-4. Roy/Winifred won 54-30 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Benton/Highwood (Fort Benton, MT)

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Big Sandy Pioneers (Big Sandy, MT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 24. Belt will attempt to upgrade on its 17-12 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 20-5 record after their 50-36 non-league win over Cascade (Cascade, MT).
