In Saturday's non-league match, the host Big Bay de Noc Black Bears basketball team scored a decisive 66-42 triumph over the Mackinac Island Lakers.

In their next game, the Black Bears meet the Tournament Team (, ) in a non-league match, on Monday, March 4. Big Bay de Noc will attempt to move on its 17-3 season record.
