Romeo Bulldogs (Romeo, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils (Grosse Pointe, MI), 59-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Romeo upgrades its record to 17-6 on the season. The Bulldogs host Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI) to play the Big Reds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 27. The Big Reds go into the bout with a record of 12-8.

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Lakeview Huskies (St. Clair Shores, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 27. Grosse Pointe South will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 13-12 record after their 43-40 non-league win over Port Huron Northern (Port Huron, MI).
