Centennial Huskies (Corona, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Murrieta Valley Nighthawks (Murrieta, CA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Upland for a non-league challenge on Monday, February 26. Centennial will face a Highlanders/Scots squad coming off a 6-4 non-league loss to Poly (Riverside, CA). The Highlanders/Scots record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Murrieta Valley falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Lakeside (Lake Elsinore, CA) to face the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 26. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Lakeside won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Chaparral (Temecula, CA)
