The Manchester Academy Mavericks baseball team scored 10 runs and limited the host Clinton Christian Academy Warriors to 0 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Thursday.
The Mavericks (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Yazoo County (Yazoo City, MS). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Yazoo County was overwhelmed by Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS), 7-0, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Clinton Christian Academy falls to 0-4 on the season. The Warriors host Newton County Academy (Decatur, MS) to battle the Generals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 1. The Generals come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Newton County Academy lost 17-2 in their recent non-league challenge against East Rankin Academy (Pelahatchie, MS)
