Columbia Roughnecks (West Columbia, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Danbury Panthers (Danbury, TX), 11-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Roughnecks now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Rockport-Fulton for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 24. Columbia will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Orange Grove (Orange Grove, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 7-0.

With the loss, Danbury falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Terry (Rosenberg, TX) to battle the Rangers in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. The Rangers enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
