    Marshall Redhawks (Marshall, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hastings Saxons (Hastings, MI), 11-5 in a league bout.

    With the victory, Marshall upgrades its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Lakeview (Battle Creek, MI) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Thursday, March 2. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 14-5.

    Next up, the Saxons play the Olivet Eagles (Olivet, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, March 2. Hastings will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record.
