Michigan High School Basketball - Lapeer knocked off by Powers Catholic

February 24, 2023: Lapeer, MI 48446

The Powers Catholic Chargers basketball team scored 75 points and held the host Lapeer Lightning to 61 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Chargers now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bay City Western for a Saginaw Valley contest on Saturday, February 25. Powers Catholic will meet a Warriors team coming off a 66-60 league loss to Midland (Midland, MI). The Warriors record now stands at 4-13.

The Lightning (1-15) will now prepare for their contest against Genesee Christian (Burton, MI). The Soldiers enter the non-league contest with a 15-5 record. In their last contest, Genesee Christian was defeated by Beecher (Flint, MI), 63-49, in a league contest.
