Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) and the visiting Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY), saw Lewis County's basketball squad overcome Russell by a tally of 66-50.

With the victory, Lewis County improves its record to 11-18 on the campaign.

Next up, the Red Devils confront the Fleming County Panthers (Flemingsburg, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 1. Russell will attempt to improve on its 25-6 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 21-8 record after their 71-40 league win over Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY).
