In Friday's league match, the host Wootton Patriots basketball team scored a tight 62-58 triumph over the Walter Johnson Wildcats.
In their next game, the Patriots meet the Whitman Vikings (Bethesda, MD) in a Montgomery 4A South match, on Tuesday, February 28. Wootton will attempt to better on its 11-6 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 16-6 record after their 86-60 non-league win over Wheaton (Silver Spring, MD).
With the defeat, Walter Johnson moves to 7-10 on the year.
