Catholic Central Cougars (Grand Rapids, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Kenowa Hills Knights (Grand Rapids, MI), 48-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Catholic Central upgrades its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Sparta (Sparta, MI) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 1. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 7-16. Sparta won 59-7 in their recent non-league bout against Lee (Wyoming, MI)

Next up, the Knights play the Union Red Hawks (Grand Rapids, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 27. Kenowa Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Red Hawks come into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 47-35 league loss to Zeeland West (Zeeland, MI).
