The Lapeer Lightning basketball team (Lapeer, MI), was overwhelmed 54-29 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI)

The Chargers now possess a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Fenton for a Flint Metro battle on Wednesday, March 1. Powers Catholic will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 41-38 non-league win over Goodrich (Goodrich, MI). The Blue Devils record now stands at 22-0.

The Lightning (7-14) will now prepare for their battle against Oxford (Oxford, MI). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 18-4 record. In their last battle, Oxford trounced Royal Oak (Royal Oak, MI), 47-43, in a league battle.
