Russell County Warriors (Seale, AL) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Warriors confront the Northside Patriots (Columbus, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 1. Russell County will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Central (Phenix City, AL).
The Rebels now possess a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Northside Methodist Academy for a AISA AA Region 1 Area 2 challenge on Tuesday, February 28. Long will confront a Knights team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Long (Skipperville, AL). The Knights record now stands at 0-2.
