The South Hills Scorpions held off the visiting Wyatt Chaparrals soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Friday's league match.
The Scorpions now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southwest for a 5A Region 1 District 6 battle on Tuesday, February 28. South Hills will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Everman (Everman, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 8-8.
The Chaparrals (16-1) will now prepare for their battle against Trimble Tech (Fort Worth, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region 1 District 6 battle with a 5-11 record. In their last battle, Trimble Tech nipped Arlington Heights (Fort Worth, TX), 1-0, in a league battle.
