In Saturday's league battle, the host Scarborough Spartans soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Kashmere Fighting Rams.
The Spartans (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Wheatley (Houston, TX). The Wildcats come into the 4A Region 3 District 19 battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Wheatley was nudged by Scarborough (Houston, TX), 8-0, in a league battle.
