Atlanta Rabbits (Atlanta, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting McLeod Longhorns (McLeod, TX), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Rabbits now own a 12-1 record. They take the field next when they host Bowie for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. Atlanta will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 19-0 non-league win over Union Grove (Gladewater, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, McLeod falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Bowie (Simms, TX) to battle the Pirates in a 1A Region III District 18 challenge on Friday, March 8. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 5-3.
