Danbury Panthers (Danbury, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Bellville Brahmas (Bellville, TX), 15-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rockport-Fulton for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. Danbury will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Columbia (West Columbia, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Bellville falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Brahmas travel to Royal (Brookshire, TX) to battle the Falcons in a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, February 27. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Royal lost 14-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Bend Hightower (Missouri City, TX)
