In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Elgin Wildcats baseball team scored a close 7-2 win over the Glenn Grizzlies.
The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Burnet (Burnet, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Burnet nudged Llano (Llano, TX), 18-6, in a non-league game.
Next, the Grizzlies play the Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX) in a non-league game, on Thursday, March 6. Glenn will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
