West Virginia High School Basketball - Nicholas County bested by Braxton County

The Nicholas County Grizzlies basketball squad (Summersville, WV), lost 69-54 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV)

With the victory, Braxton County advances its record to 14-6 on the year. The Eagles travel to Scott (Madison, WV) to meet the Skyhawks in a non-league battle on Thursday, February 27. The Skyhawks enter the battle with a record of 12-8. Scott won 92-63 in their recent non-league battle against Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV)

The Grizzlies now own a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oak Hill for a Coalfield AAA battle on Tuesday, February 25. Nicholas County will meet a Red Devils squad coming off a 65-42 non-league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Red Devils record now stands at 8-10.
