South Dakota High School Basketball - North Central holds off Wakpala

In Monday's league contest, the host North Central Thunder basketball team scored a close 62-57 triumph over the Wakpala Sioux.
The Thunder (10-14) will now prepare for their contest against Sully Buttes (Onida, SD). The Chargers go into the B Region 6 contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Sully Buttes nipped Lower Brule (Lower Brule, SD), 55-54, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Sioux confront the McLaughlin Mustangs (McLaughlin, SD) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, February 26. Wakpala will attempt to better on its 11-8 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 6-12 record after their 55-50 non-league win over North Central (Eureka, SD).
