The Montabella Mustangs basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Merrill Vandals to 37 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 17-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beal City for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 1. Montabella will battle a Aggies team coming off a 73-46 league loss to Northern Michigan Christian (McBain, MI). The Aggies record now stands at 13-5.
The Vandals (2-15) will now prepare for their contest against St. Louis (St. Louis, MI). The Sharks come into the non-league contest with a 3-15 record. In their last contest, St. Louis was routed by Nouvel Catholic Central (Saginaw, MI), 60-47, in a league contest.
