Mattawan Wildcats (Mattawan, MI) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting St. Joseph Bears (St. Joseph, MI), 60-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Mattawan upgrades its record to 17-3 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Holt (Holt, MI) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 28. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Holt lost 48-43 in their recent league bout against DeWitt (DeWitt, MI)

Next up, the Bears play the Grand Haven Buccaneers (Grand Haven, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 28. St. Joseph will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 70-60 league win over West Ottawa (Holland, MI).
