The Maplewood Baptist Academy Black Bears basketball team (Kinross, MI), was nudged 48-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Big Bay de Noc Black Bears (Cooks, MI)
The Black Bears now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rapid River for a non-league battle on Monday, February 27. Big Bay de Noc will battle a Rockets team coming off a 70-13 league loss to Norway (Norway, MI). The Rockets record now stands at 1-19.
The Black Bears (14-4) will now prepare for their battle against Engadine (Engadine, MI). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 15-8 record. In their last battle, Engadine edged Newberry (Newberry, MI), 49-26, in a non-league battle.
