The Madison Marlins held off the host Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos soccer squad by a margin of 3-2 in Saturday's league match.
The Marlins now sport a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Waltrip for a 5A Region 3 District 19 match on Tuesday, February 28. Madison will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Wisdom (Houston, TX). The Rams record now stands at 11-4.
With the loss, Carnegie Vanguard drops to 0-8 on the season. The Rhinos travel to Sterling (Houston, TX) to encounter the Raiders in a 5A Region 3 District 19 match on Tuesday, February 28. The Raiders come into the match with a record of 5-9.
