Next, the Cardinals face the El Campo Ricebirds (El Campo, TX) in a 4A Region 3 District 22 challenge, on Tuesday, February 28. Columbus will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Ricebirds enter the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 8-0 league win over Palacios (Palacios, TX).

The Raiders now hold a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to Bay City for a 4A Region 3 District 22 test on Monday, February 27. Rice Consolidated will meet a Blackcats squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX). The Blackcats record now stands at 12-3.
