East Bernard Brahmas (East Bernard, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Brahmas now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Grange for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 25. East Bernard will battle a Leopards squad coming off a 9-3 non-league loss to Yoakum (Yoakum, TX). The Leopards record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Columbus falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX) to battle the Brahmas in a 3A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, February 28. The Brahmas enter the challenge with a record of 13-0. Hallettsville won 9-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Wimberley (Wimberley, TX)
