In Tuesday's non-league game, the host West Craven Eagles baseball team scored a close 1-0 win over the Havelock Rams.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Cardinals go into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Jacksonville was tipped by West Carteret (Morehead City, NC), 9-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Rams play the New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) in a Big East 3A/4A game, on Tuesday, March 4. Havelock will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
