The Pelican Rapids Vikings basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Staples-Motley Cardinals to 51 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vikings now have a 20-6 record. They play next when they host Breckenridge for a non-league game on Friday, February 28. Pelican Rapids will confront a Cowboys team coming off a 74-70 non-league win over Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (Glyndon, MN). The Cowboys record now stands at 12-14.

With the loss, Staples-Motley falls to 12-12 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Park Rapids (Park Rapids, MN) to confront the Panthers in a AA Section 8 game on Friday, February 28. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 12-13. Park Rapids won 82-80 in their recent league game against Frazee (Frazee, MN)
