In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Wade Hampton Generals lacrosse squad scored a tight 17-12 win over the Mauldin Mavericks.
The Generals (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against James F. Byrnes (Duncan, SC). The Rebels enter the 5A Upper District 2 contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, James F. Byrnes was overwhelmed by Chapin (Chapin, SC), 18-7, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Mavericks meet the Woodmont Wildcats (Piedmont, SC) in a 5A Upper District 1 contest, on Tuesday, March 4. Mauldin will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 22-0 non-league loss to Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC).
