With the triumph, Shelby moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Golden Lions travel to Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC) to meet the Mountaineers in a non-league test on Wednesday, February 26. The Mountaineers come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Draughn for a non-league test on Friday, February 28. R-S Central will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-2.
