The Newman Greenies triumphed over the visiting Crescent City Christian Pioneers softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Greenies play the Riverdale Rebels (Jefferson, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 26. Newman will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record.
The Pioneers (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA). The Saints enter the 1A District 10 challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, St. Martin's Episcopal was routed by Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA), 17-0, in a league challenge.
