The Winfield Pirates softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Sulligent Blue Devils to 2 in the Pirates non-league win on Tuesday.
The Pirates now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fayette County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 4.
With the loss, Sulligent moves to 0-1 on the season. The Blue devils travel to Gordo (Gordo, AL) to confront the Green Wave in a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 4. The Green Wave come into the battle with a record of 1-2.
