The Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) baseball trounced the host Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), 19-8 in Monday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Huskies encounter the West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 27. Ashe County will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record.

The Buckin' Elks now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to North Iredell for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 28.
