The East Rowan Mustangs baseball team scored 19 runs and limited the host Central Cabarrus Vikings to 2 in the Mustangs league victory on Monday.

The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Knights go into the South Piedmont 3A match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Lake Norman Charter ran past West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC), 4-2, in a league match.

The Vikings (0-1) will now prepare for their match against South Rowan (China Grove, NC). The Raiders go into the South Piedmont 3A match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, South Rowan was overwhelmed by Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 10-3, in a league match.
