Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, MA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Newton South Lions (Newton, MA), 49-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lexington upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season.
