Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM), 53-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Moriarty upgrades its record to 7-16 on the campaign. The Pintos travel to Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM) to play the Hilltoppers in a 4A District 2 bout on Tuesday, February 27. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a record of 9-16. Los Alamos lost 59-55 in their recent league bout against Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM)
