In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Walter Panas Panthers basketball team scored a tight 44-42 triumph over the Tappan Zee Dutchmen.
In their next game, the Panthers meet the Hendrick Hudson Sailors (Montrose, NY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 2. Walter Panas will attempt to better on its 20-3 season record. The Sailors enter the match with a 16-7 record after their 53-49 non-league win over Pearl River (Pearl River, NY).
With the defeat, Tappan Zee moves to 6-5 on the year.
