Tharptown Wildcats (Russellville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Phillips Bears (Bear Creek, AL), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lindsay Lane Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 27. Tharptown will battle a Lions squad coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Clements (Athens, AL). The Lions record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Phillips falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Brilliant (Brilliant, AL) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
