In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Holmes Aces baseball team scored a nice 12-2 victory over the North Pitt Panthers.

The Aces (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Perquimans (Hertford, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Perquimans defeated Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC), 11-0, in a non-league game.

Next, the Panthers face the Southside Seahawks (Chocowinity, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, February 27. North Pitt will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Seahawks enter the game with a 2-0 record after their 8-5 non-league win over North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC).
