In Thursday's non-league match, the host Shepherd Pirates softball team scored a tight 11-8 win over the MacArthur Generals.

The Pirates (8-4) will now prepare for their match against Splendora (Splendora, TX). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Splendora was routed by Hargrave (Huffman, TX), 9-5, in a non-league game.

The Generals now own a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to Cleveland for a non-league game on Thursday, February 26. MacArthur will play a Indians squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Grand Oaks (Spring, TX). The Indians record now stands at 7-7.
