In Monday's non-league match, the host Pikeville Panthers basketball team scored a decisive 72-32 triumph over the Belfry Pirates.
In their next game, the Panthers meet the Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY) in a non-league match, on Friday, March 3. Pikeville will attempt to move on its 28-5 season record. The Cardinals enter the match with a 26-5 record after their 75-69 non-league win over Floyd Central (Eastern, KY).
With the defeat, Belfry moves to 11-13 on the year.
