Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) and the visiting Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), saw Topsail's baseball squad knock off Dixon by a count of 5-2.

Coming up next, the Pirates play the Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, March 3. Topsail will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 2-0 record after their 13-9 non-league win over Garner (Garner, NC).

The Bulldogs now possess a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Southwest Onslow for a non-league battle on Friday, March 3. Dixon will play a Stallions squad coming off a 14-7 non-league win over Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 2-0.
