Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Huskies confront the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 29. Ashe County will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Red Tornadoes enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Hough (Cornelius, NC).

The Golden Eagles now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ashe County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5.
