In Tuesday's league battle, the host Claxton Tigers soccer squad scored a close 5-4 triumph over the Screven County Gamecocks.
The Tigers (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bacon County (Alma, GA). The Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Bacon County was nudged by Worth County (Sylvester, GA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Gamecocks (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Woodville-Tompkins (Savannah, GA). The Wolverines come into the 1A D-I Region 3 battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Woodville-Tompkins nudged Liberty County (Hinesville, GA), 7-2, in a non-league battle.
