IDEA College Prep Griffins (Alamo, TX) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting IDEA Weslaco Pike Mavericks (Weslaco, TX), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Griffins face the Monte Alto Blue Devil (Monte Alto, TX) in a 4A Region 4 District 31 challenge, on Friday, March 1. IDEA College Prep will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Blue Devil enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 6-0 league loss to IDEA Weslaco Pike (Weslaco, TX).

The Mavericks now have a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they host Progreso for a 4A Region 4 District 31 challenge on Friday, March 1. IDEA Weslaco Pike will face a Red Ants team coming off a 3-0 league win over Lyford (Lyford, TX). The Red Ants record now stands at 8-3.
