In Thursday's non-league bout, the Dougherty Trojans (Albany, GA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Baker County Bears (Newton, GA), by a tally of 16-0.

Next up, the Trojans encounter the Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA) in a 3A Area 1 bout, on Monday, March 3. Dougherty will attempt to upgrade on its 6-0 season record. The Syrupmakers enter the bout with a 2-5 record after their 8-5 non-league loss to Thomasville (Thomasville, GA).

The Bears (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against FAMU DRS (Tallahassee, FL). The Baby Rattlers enter the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, FAMU DRS was overwhelmed by Godby (Tallahassee, FL), 18-2, in a non-league bout.
