The Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) basketball were winner over the visiting Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA), 81-72 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 24-2 record. They play next when they travel to Central Catholic for a non-league bout on Monday, March 3. Montour will play a Vikings team coming off a 59-39 non-league loss to Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 14-9.

With the loss, Mars falls to 14-12 on the campaign.
