The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Weed Cougars (Weed, CA) and the host Mt. Shasta Bears (Mt. Shasta, CA), observed Weed's basketball team knock off Mt. Shasta by a score of 63-48.

The Cougars (23-6) will now prepare for their outing against Portola (Portola, CA). The Tigers come into the non-league outing with a 22-7 record. In their last outing, Portola overcame Durham (Durham, CA), 58-51, in a non-league outing.
