Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Almeta Crawford Chargers (Rosharon, TX) and the host Stafford Spartans (Stafford, TX), saw Almeta Crawford's soccer squad hold off Stafford by a count of 2-1.

The Chargers (5-13) will now prepare for their battle against Columbia (West Columbia, TX). The Roughnecks enter the 4A Region 3 District 21 battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Columbia tipped Fort Bend Willowridge (Houston, TX), 5-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Spartans battle the Needville Bluejays (Needville, TX) in a 4A Region 3 District 21 battle, on Saturday, March 1. Stafford will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Bluejays enter the battle with a 11-6 record after their 7-2 league win over La Marque (La Marque, TX).
